Lucky Plate

The lucky plate is a set of plates that endow the meaning of luck, auspice and love. This innovative plate designs with emotions and a good taste. Innato Collection

The main challenge of the Innato Collection was to turn rapid prototyping into final products evidencing their design process and methods in a aesthetically coherent way. The product reflects the influence of technology and digital fabrication on the design of daily objects and use of traditional materials, in this case seen on the nesting and laser cutting of the 3d models. They evidence an almost direct transition from digital modeling, to prototype, to product, while showcasing the adaptability of such an organic material as ceramics into something geometric and modern.

Hazuto

Hazuto is a fresh aesthetic on the ubiquitous kitchen board space. A brushed metal rim binds the board, protecting it from warping, splitting, knocks and drops. The metal-wood combination is a pleasing new tactile experience. The warmth of the wood contrasts with the austere stainless steel frame. The screws are characteristically placed to complete an industrial sensibility. A negative corner-space forms a handy hook. The singular shape is preserved, absent of unnecessary distractions or additions. The result is an efficient, clean, two-tone form that’s as eye-catching as it is ergonomic.

Having inspiration from the festive snacks of traditional Tainan culture (an old city in Taiwan full with cultural heritage), by transforming them into a set of hotel amenities, these series of festive snacks always known to the local as "Marn", means fulfillment in Chinese culture; turtle-shaped rice cake as hand soap and soap dish, mung bean cake as toiletries, tang yuan sweet dumpling as hand cream and steamed bun & Tainan brown sugar bun cake as tea set. Tainan culture heritage could be widespread to the world as the hotel is a nice platform to promote local culture.
